So I have this theory that Kanye is calling his album 808's and Heartbreak because, if you really think about it, what does a 808 sound like? A heartbeat. Since Kanye has got his heartbroken, and he lives through his music, he is using the 808 method to slowly, but surely repair his heart. Once your heartbroken, it doesn't beat anymore. So, he is trying to get it back to the right "rhythm". 808's originated in the Late 80's-Early90's in most sad R&B songs, and if you have heard any of the new songs they are, well sad.
